27 yr old man kidnaps his brother, collects N4m sum

A 27 year old man, Okafor Chukwujekwu has been arrested by the police in Lagos state for allegedly arranging the kidnapping  of his own brother Cosmos Chukwujekwu and charging a ransom  for his release.

The victim, Cosmos was kidnapped around his house in Festac, taken to an unknown place and asked to produce N4m. He then yielded his Honda Car,  cell phones and N1.8m (total value – N4m).

After the incident,Mr Cosmos went on to report to the police and later discovered his younger brother Okafor was the mastermind behind the kidnapping.  According to source, Mr Cosmos arranged with a certain Malik Sherif and they ambushed Cosmos on his way home and threatened to kill him if he did not pay the money.

The case has been adjourned and Okafor and Malik have been sent to the Kirikiri Maximum Prisons.
